The interview of a lifetime: 80 years of history

An evening to celebrate and revisit the 80 years of history of Fava S.p.A.

"Placing your pasta at the center of everything: this is the mission of our company, which has been writing the history of pasta with you for 80 years," says Luigi Fava. In fact, a few months have passed since the eightieth year of activity of Fava, a world leader in the construction of pasta production plants, now in its third generation under the direction of Luigi Fava, CEO and his father Enrico, President. The company celebrated them with great enthusiasm and satisfaction, as it saw all the goals achieved in this long period recognized and rewarded.

"We are experiencing a very stimulating moment for growth and innovation – continues Luigi Fava – the sector is in constant turmoil. Today it is the connection with factories, markets and people that guides us in the analysis and choice of solutions. The increasingly strong integration between us and you, the user customer, helps us to better understand your needs and to find innovative solutions that are increasingly targeted.

Industry 4.0 pushes us to change our attitude, approach, to enter more into symbiosis with factories, with our plants and everything that revolves around them. It allows us to make an analysis from a different perspective, stimulating new ideas for improvement, innovation.

This year's Ipack-Ima fair will see us proactive on all these issues, with the exhibition and proposal of a unique range of systems for technical and technological solutions. We have listened to customer requests and transformed them into lines with performance consistent with expectations, maintaining the focus on the quality of the finished product and taking into account aspects of energy consumption, ease of use, maintenance and cleaning.

Great attention has been paid to the technological treatment of the most varied raw materials to always obtain the qualitative excellence of pasta, produced in whatever market our plants operate. The Ipack-Ima will therefore be a special opportunity to share all this. The exhibition of a latest-generation long pasta line and a latest-generation short pasta line and Storci's new products for the production of special pasta and multi-purpose lines will allow you to experience these plants first-hand, but we will also talk about couscous and products with alternative raw materials.

We will explain the reasons behind the success of these systems: the details, the peculiarities that characterize them and the advantages they offer in their use, certified by the numerous installations. We will address together the energy and environmental issue of pasta production plants with a broader, global approach, from a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) perspective, because in the end this is what matters: obtaining maximum energy savings during production and reducing the environmental impact without compromising the flexibility of the process, OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and, above all, the quality of the final product.

We will have a section where we will present our IOT solution according to Industry 4.0 guidelines, to share the theme of plant connection and the very interesting scenarios that open up with the processing and use of the data collected. In this edition we will also talk in depth about maintenance and service, a very important topic in the industrial field and which is always talked about little, but very important».
